Always intrigued by the guitar players of the time, T-Bob was given an old guitar in 1965. It was an old box guitar with no back on it and had to be re-tuned for every chord change.Papa Joe watched this go on for months untill he felt so bad for him that he bought T-Bob a good used guitar that worked. He would practice on his guitar everyday until it was bedtime. At the time, blues and rock-n-roll were his main interests. T-Bob and his brother Gary teamed as a duet and would play houseparties and Sunday afternoons at local taverns around Beaumont for little or no money. The brothers were soon well known locally. Like his brother,T-Bob was raised going to the Cajun dances on Saturday nights. At home, everytime Papa Joe would take out his french accordion, T-Bob would always grab a guitar and accompany him. Although he has played in many different bands and a variety of types of music,he preferres to back up his brother." We've played together for almost 35 years and I know what he's going to do before he does it" says T-Bob. His unique style of rythem guitar playing is a key factor in the rich and full bodied sound that is produced by the Touch of Cajun Band.
