Elzie Matthews Jr.
Comming from a family of Cajun musicians, Elzie learned all instruments associated with Cajun music. Playing many dances, festivals and benifits with his own bands, Elzie is a seasoned musician. Filling in for Gary's fiddle player from time to time, Elzie soon learned Gary's style and became a permanent member in 1985. From the moanful and lonesome sounds to the quick chopping lively strokes, Elzie is a true Cajun artist. The expert blends and leads are a definate factor in full sounds of the Touch of Cajun Band. Although a Louisiana native, Elzie now resides in Winnie Texas. |
